Strong results on both coasts

Jeremy and Zach had a strong weekend detoxing from Vegas, the team was split on both coasts this past weekend. On the East Coast, Jeremy took a strong 2nd place finish at the Catamount Grand Prix UCI C2 in Williston, VT.

Zach was representing on West Coast at the Rapha FOCUS Gran Prix in Issaquah, WA. Zach was able to recover form some early diggers for an 8th place finish, “The crowd was great and it was nice to race in front of a local crowd, it’s been a while since that’s happend.”

Next up for the team is the Gateway Cross Cup UCI C2 in St Louis, MO tomorrow evening which will be the debut of Chris Jones for this season, fresh from the Tour of Britain. Jeremy will also be joining Chris in the “Gateway to the West” for this evening race.

Jeremy and Zach throw down on the Strip

CrossVegas has served as the (inter)national season opener of cyclocross, coinciding with this hemisphere’s largest industry trade show means a strong international showing including the likes of two time world champion Bart Wellens and his teammates on Team Fidea.

Jeremy and Zach were clearly on-form for this year’s edition, with Jeremy finishing just off the podium in 4th, “[I] had a great race, played [my] cards right, was in it to win.” Zach finished just outside the top 10 in 11th, “I had a solid race and I’m quite content with how I did, I met my goals for the race and my performance on faster courses in improving.”

A really fantastic start to the season considering the firepower present in this year’s edition. The European racers of Team Fidea and Team Rabobank did not cross the pond to sit in the field, and the top tier of domestic racers from LTS/Felt, Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com, and current national champion Todd Wells all made for an exciting race. More videos and thoughts from Jeremy and Zach after the break.
