We got a taste of two very different course conditions this weekend at the opening weekend of the US Gran Prix of Cyclocross series in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Jeremy got the weekend off to an excellent start by winning the Avid Shorty Ultimate Hole Shot. And eventually getting away with Bart Wellens and Ryan Trebon, the three animators would go head to head lap after lap and in the end Jeremy earned a new nickname.

More photos and video after the break.

Zach was riding strongly in the top 10 before an unfortunate incident in the last lap set him back.

Overnight and morning rain turned the course into a completely different animal on Day 2. The season’s first real exposure to mud is always tricky as it takes some time to get used riding in these conditions. Jeremy pulled off a strong ride for 9th with Zach close behind in 11th and top U23 finisher.

Catch Jeremy, Chris, and Zach next weekend at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester, MA at the Great Brewers Gran Prix of Gloucester!
