The Rapha-Focus Cyclocross Team made it’s first appearance in a Cyclocross World Cup this past Sunday. Division 1 College National Champion Zach McDonald represented the Team and the U.S.A. in the U23 category in Kalmthout, Belgium. During his post race cool down Zach said, “the course was pretty rad as it was covered in snow and pretty technical due to the large quantities of ice hiding under the snow. I was fortunate that the traveling went quite smoothly and, unlike a few other of the guys who came over, I was able to successfully leave the Brussels airport with my bikes.”

Zach is participating in his third Eurocross Camp and will be competing in races throughout the Holidays. Next up will be the Zolder World Cup on December 26th where the he hopes to improve on Sunday’s 23rd place. The tentative schedule of events for the eighth edition of the Eurocross Camp is:

  • Wednesday, December 29: Azencross GVA-Loenhout
  • Thursday, December 30: Sylvester Cyclocross-Bredene
  • Saturday, January 1: GP Sven Nys GVA-Baal
