Chris At The Line in Fort Collins, CO

The latest At The Races column over at Embrocation Cycling Journal features work by Jeff Curtes and has some great shots of Chris at the start line.

Photo Contest, Week #6, You Pick The Winner

Racing in Fort Collins looked to be a cold affair. Maybe not so much as the Cyclocross scene in Minnesota, but still cold nonetheless. It looks as though Chris went with embrocation, while Zach opted for legwarmers. With that being said, however cool the external temperatures were — the heat is still on with the Cyclocross Photo Competitions that we have been running. Peruse the latest submissions from this past weekend’s USGP and vote for your favorite in the comments section at the Rapha Blog. Voting will conclude on Thursday night and the winner announced on Friday.

What Team Mechanic Daimeon Shanks Brings With Him To The Pits

Lots of prep goes in to each of our handsome FOCUS Mares CX1 bikes before and after the races, but there’s always a lot going on during the race too. Cyclocross Magazine has a nice piece up about what Rapha FOCUS Team Mechanic, Daimeon Shanks, brings with him to the pit on race day.

Zach Gets It Done

Wil Matthews captured our favoriate shot from this weekend in Fort Collins, CO; Zach won the U23 race both days with a 6th place and a 9th place finish in the Men’s Elite Race. After 6 rounds Zach now leads the US Gran Prix of Cyclocross U23 Competition heading into the final two races of the series in Portland, OR on December 4th and 5th.

Photo Contest, Week #5, Winner

Josh Caffrey takes the win this time around. His black and white photo from LA’s Griffith Park captures the extreme concentration that Chris Jones puts into his racing. The sand pit helps even things out as well. Stay tuned later today for photo selections from week number six. The racing in Fort Collins, Colorado was certainly one to delight and the young Zach MacDonald had what could easily be considered a break out performance.
